# Feather’s Edge is a new Metroidvania adventure from South African studio Clockwork Acorn

South African indie studio [Clockwork Acorn](https://www.isakaba.com/clockwork-acorn/) has launched a playable demo of Feather’s Edge, its fast-paced metroidvania adventure.

The game puts players in control of Upu, a hoopoe bird warrior tasked with saving the collapsing Tower of Time. Players must fight enemies, explore a handcrafted world and master the game's movement and combat systems to reach the tower's summit.

Described by the studio as a “tough-as-talons” adventure, Feather’s Edge combines sword combat, platforming and tactical abilities. Its battles are designed to reward precision and quick thinking, with players able to revisit shorter encounters to improve their skills and earn progress.

**Building interest**

The game takes place inside the Tower of Time, an ancient structure whose sections are breaking apart as time collapses. Players will travel through environments including jungles, ancient lava flows and freezing areas while entering time rifts to fight enemies and restore the flow of time.

Feather’s Edge is an original intellectual property supported by Outersloth, the indie funding initiative established by the developers of Among Us. The studio says the initiative backed the project early in development, helping it progress towards its current playable form.
