Jordanian game developer [Maysalward](https://www.isakaba.com/maysalward/) has completed the second cohort of its Minecraft Education programme, with 210 teachers trained across 68 schools as part of the country's Youth, Technology and Jobs initiative.

The programme was led by Jordan's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and implemented by Maysalward, which uses Minecraft Education to help teachers turn classroom lessons into interactive experiences.

Maysalward said the second cohort saw teachers who participated in the first programme return to support and train other educators, while students continued developing projects that turned classroom lessons into interactive Minecraft experiences.

**Nearly 100 games built**

The programme also saw students create 96 games using Minecraft Education across the participating schools, according to Maysalward. The projects cover educational subjects while giving students opportunities to build, test ideas and work together.

The programme concluded with a Minecraft Education exhibition where 16 finalist teams presented their projects. The finalists were selected from projects involving around 2,000 students from government schools across Jordan, with the top three teams receiving awards.

"The number I am proudest of is 44," said Maysalward CEO and founder [Nour Khrais](https://www.isakaba.com/nour-khrais/) in a [post](https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/one-block-time-nour-khrais-88wuf/?ref=isakaba.com). "Forty-four teachers from the first cohort returned this year as expert teachers to train and support the new cohort. Last time, they were learning the tool. This time, they were teaching others how to use it. That shift from learning to leading is one of the clearest signs that the program is becoming sustainable.

"Knowledge is no longer staying with the team delivering the program. It is moving from teacher to teacher, school to school, and classroom to classroom. Most of the new teachers had never designed a lesson inside a game before. They first had to learn Minecraft Education, but the more important step was rethinking how they teach their own subject."

Maysalward is now looking ahead to further work through its EduConnect and EduCube initiatives.
