Classy Games joins AWS startup program to scale MENA titles

Saudi-based developer Classy Games has joined Amazon Web Service (AWS) startup program to access its cloud infrastructure and technical support.

Classy Games told us that the AWS startup program is a “great step" that'll allow them to focus more on building games for players across the Middle East and Africa.

“Joining the AWS startup program is a great step for Classy Games," said Classy Games founder and CEO Jamie McClenaghan. “It gives us access to cloud infrastructure and technical support that would otherwise be out of reach for a young studio.

“In the long run, this means we can focus more on building great games for players across the Middle East and Africa, while relying on AWS to help us scale reliably and cost‑effectively as we grow.”

New projects

Founded in 2020, Classy Games launched its debut mobile title Orbital, which drew 200,000 unique players and logged more than 180,000 hours of gameplay. A PC version is in the works.

The team is currently working on SillySuspects, a comical, murder mystery detective guess-who game. You play as a detective solving the most hilarious crimes in a weird, wacky and wonderful world. It's the perfect blend of mystery, comedy and chaos.

Earlier this year, we spoke to McClenaghan on the making of SillySuspects to learn more about the title ahead of its release.
