Esports World Cup 2026 set for Riyadh with $75m prize pool
2,000 players and 200 clubs from over 100 countries will compete across 25 tournaments
The Esports World Cup 2026 will have a whooping $75 million prize ahead of its return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 6th to August 23rd.
More than 2,000 players and 200 esports Clubs from over 100 countries will compete across 25 tournaments spanning 24 games, making EWC 2026 the largest edition of the event to date.
The seven-week competition will crown a single overall Club Champion through a multi-title format that runs several tournaments in parallel across multiple venues.
Moreover, the EWC Club Championship will award $30m to the top 24 Clubs, up $3m year on year. The winning organisation will receive $7m, with increased payouts across the remaining top finishers.
Continuous expansion
Individual game championships will collectively account for more than $39m, with additional prize money allocated to Club and Player Awards, including MVP honours and the Jafonso Award.
The 2026 lineup includes Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, Valorant, Pubg Mobile, EA Sports FC 26, Fortnite, Trackmania, and Chess, among others.
Tickets go on sale January 22nd, 2026 via the official website. The announcement follows EWC 2025, which reached 750m viewers globally and welcomed more than 3m visitors in Riyadh.
