Saudi gaming accelerator Exel by Merak appoints Faisal Sedrani as CEO

Saudi-based gaming accelerator Exel by Merak has appointed Faisal Sedrani as chief executive officer.
He previously served as head of management, where he led the full establishment of Exel as a Merak Capital subsidiary and drove startup growth through accelerators and digital innovation.
Alongside this, he has been VP of innovation platform at Merak Capital since August 2024, overseeing innovation programmes and growth-funded accelerators across the organisation.
Track record
Outside of games, he co-founded Smart Deer Co in 2022, where he has focused on developing environmental and smart technologies for desert restoration.
He has led multidisciplinary teams across robotics, IoT, and environmental science, and worked closely with local communities on ecosystem recovery initiatives.
