Gamathon

Hosted by Africacomicade, Gamathon is an event focused on celebrating African creatives and their works while providing opportunities for collaboration, funding, and learning.

This hybrid, annual B2B2C convention takes place in Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, and Nigeria every two years, allowing passionate creators to showcase their work, explore networking opportunities, and interact with the rapidly expanding African gaming community.  

The event brings together investors, policymakers, creators, and industry professionals for six days of innovation and collaboration in games, XR, animation, and creative tech. Backed by major partners including UNDP, Sanlam Allianz, and the Lagos State Ministry of Innovation, Gamathon also features workshops, masterclasses, and panels on entrepreneurship, IP, and monetization.
