Ghana-based studio Mills Media launches Anokye on PC

Ghana-based developer Mills Media has launched 2D action–adventure platformer Anokye on PC.

The game's launch brings a culturally grounded action–adventure experience inspired by Ghanaian history and folklore to players worldwide.

Set in a kingdom overtaken by tyranny, players step into the role of Anokye, a legendary hero destined to unite the Ashanti people and restore light to the land.

The journey unfolds across a variety of handcrafted environments, including ancient villages, dense forests, towering mountain peaks, and mystical waterfalls.

Gameplay features

Drawing heavily from authentic Ghanaian art, landscapes, and folklore, each location blends traditional influences with fast-paced modern gameplay.

Players can run, jump, dash, glide, and wall-jump through challenging levels while unlocking powerful abilities and mastering traditional weapons.

The experience is rounded out by boss battles, an original soundtrack infused with African rhythms, and a narrative focused on courage, unity, and destiny.

Anokye is available on Steam as well as on mobile via Google Play and App Store.
