Atmospheric maze adventure Go North gets PC demo and launch window

Nigerian-based developer Gazuntype has released a PC demo for atmospheric maze adventure game Go North.

The solo developer also premiered a new trailer for the title at the Game Devs of Color Expo Direct, which showed that Go North will launch in Q1 2026 on PC.

Creator Tade Ajiboye said the game draws inspiration from titles like A Short Hike and Journey, while adding its own mystique to give players a welcoming and innovative adventure.

A new experience

In Go North, players guide Dara on a quest for a single wish from the Maze God, navigating labyrinths where the exit always lies north, across forests, corridors, and sky islands woven into immersive maze designs.

The game encourages players to explore at their own pace, meeting characters and uncovering relics while using tools like mystical birds and hoverboards to navigate traps - always guided by the rule to go north.

“Whether you're looking for a relaxing experience or you're a daring speedrunner, Go North has so much to offer,” said developer Tade Ajiboye.

“If you want to take all the time in the world to search every nook and cranny, you will be rewarded with rare items. If you want to find the nearest hoverboard and speed to the exit faster than anyone else, you can do that, too.”

Go North is set to launch in Q1 2026 on PC via Steam, with Nintendo Switch and Xbox versions also in development. You can try out the game's demo here
