Hypemasters appoints Harriet Hobson as director of people and operations
She will oversee people strategy and operational scale as the Abu Dhabi-headquartered studio
UAE-based games studio Hypemasters has appointed Harriet Hobson as director of people and operations.
In her new role, Hobson will oversee people strategy and operational scale as the Abu Dhabi-headquartered company continues its global growth efforts.
Moreover, Hobson steps into the role after more than three years at the studio, where she most recently served as HR and operations lead, following an earlier tenure as operations lead beginning in 2023.
During that time, she oversaw HR and recruitment efforts, managed global operations and built key relationships with AD Gaming and wider UAE government stakeholders.
She also led internal projects across gaming and non-gaming verticals while coordinating external partners and payment processing functions.
Career progression
Earlier in her career at Hypemasters, she served as personal assistant to the CEO, acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders while managing scheduling, reporting and executive coordination.
Before joining the games industry, Hobson spent more than four years as a health science coordinator at Emirates Schools Establishment in Abu Dhabi, delivering curriculum programmes and driving student engagement initiatives.
She also previously worked in campaign management and account executive roles in the UK.
