Naphora Games Group has recruited Shayaan Iqbal as gameplay programmer.

In his new role, he will develop and optimise gameplay systems in Unity by collaborating closely with designers and artists on rapid prototyping and iteration.

Iqbal also focuses heavily on code quality and performance, writing clean, modular, and well-documented code while identifying and resolving bugs to ensure smooth, stable gameplay.

Parallel venture

Alongside this role at Naphora, he is a co-founder of Arcade Allies, a community-driven games platform which he has been building remotely.

Before moving fully into games, Shayaan spent over four years at GenITeam Solutions, most recently as a senior software engineer, building a strong engineering foundation prior to transitioning into the games industry.

“Looking forward to building immersive gameplay experiences, learning from an amazing team and contributing to the exciting work ahead at Naphora," said Iqbal in a post.
