Saudi giga-project Qiddiya has named Marwan Al-Zahrani as manager for gaming and esports marketing.
In his new role, Al-Zahrani will lead games and esports marketing initiatives at Qiddiya, focusing on positioning the project as a global destination for competitive gaming and interactive entertainment.
He will work across partnerships, brand strategy, and industry engagement, supporting the development and promotion of Qiddiya’s games and esports offerings as they continue to scale.
Prior to that, he served as strategy manager for gaming and esports, focusing on innovation within Qiddiya’s esports and arena technologies.
Career background
Al‑Zahrani has built a career across games, esports, investment strategy, and business development, with experience in Saudi Arabia and Japan.
Before joining Qiddiya, he was an industrial investment attraction specialist at King Salman Energy Park (SPARK), where he helped attract hundreds of investment opportunities across multiple industries into the park’s pipeline.
Earlier in his career, he worked in Japan as an account manager at Progress Works Ltd., leading branding projects across multiple sectors, contributing to a background that blends games, investment attraction, and international business development.
