Overview

Abjad Games is an independent game studio based in Riyadh focused on creating games inspired by Arabian heritage and mythology. The studio aims to combine culturally authentic storytelling with modern gameplay and create experiences that can reach players internationally.

The studio's first announced title is ALRAIY: The Last Fire, a horror survival game set around desolate farmlands. Players awaken inside a strange tent and must survive monsters while uncovering the secrets of the surrounding environment. The game is currently in development for PC and is planned for Steam.

Abjad Games has also been involved in Saudi Arabia's growing development ecosystem. The studio completed the Saudi Game Champions 2 programme, finishing among the top seven teams from 20 participants and showcasing its upcoming game to visitors and investors.

More recently, the studio won first place at the 3D Game Jam in Riyadh with Around the Kingdom, a Saudi-inspired prototype created during the three-day competition.
