Overview
ARUDEM is a Ugandan game studio based in Kampala, focused on creating games designed to be shared. The studio aims to build original games and characters that connect people through play and draw from contemporary culture.
The company began with esports and community events around major games, including Call of Duty. This experience helped shape its focus on social play and bringing people together. ARUDEM later moved into original game development through its Arudem Creators initiative.
Rather than focusing on African folklore and traditional stories, ARUDEM draws inspiration from street culture, global pop culture and the experiences of a new generation of African gamers. Its goal is to create games that appeal to people beyond the gaming community.
