Overview
gazuntype is the independent game development studio of Nigerian developer Tade Ajiboye, focused on creating immersive, story-driven games from Lagos. Operating as a solo developer, Ajiboye has built projects spanning puzzle, virtual reality and action experiences, with a portfolio that includes experimental prototypes alongside commercial releases.
The studio's debut commercial title, Go North, is an atmospheric maze adventure following Dara, a "Littler" navigating handcrafted labyrinths in search of the mythical Maze God, whose wish-granting power she needs to save her dying mother.
Players wander through twisted forests, bookshelf corridors, and floating sky islands, unlocking ancient relics and running into figures like the Broken Compass protesters along the way. IsaKaba's own review called it the best-looking game yet from an African developer, even while questioning parts of its narrative execution.
Go North launched July 28, 2026, on PC and Xbox Series X|S for $14.99, with a Nintendo Switch version in active development. Beyond Go North, Ajiboye has developed projects including Shooter Arena, VR Baseball Simulator, and several virtual reality and augmented reality experiences, while also contributing to games and interactive projects for other studios and organisations.
