Overview

Hfrogames is a Lagos-based Afrocentric indie game studio focused on creating fun and immersive experiences for players of all ages. The studio was founded in 2023 and operates with a small team of between two and ten employees.

The studio's debut commercial game, Idans Quest, is a free-to-play mobile runner set in Lagos. Players follow Idan, a recent university graduate navigating post-graduation life, while dodging traffic, collecting cash and facing enemies inspired by Nigerian culture and everyday life.

Hfrogames has continued expanding its development team, recently recruiting for roles including a 3D artist and technical game UI designer as it works on its games.

The studio positions its work around creating games rooted in African experiences while remaining accessible to players globally.
