Overview

Innovavera is a Riyadh-based mobile studio founded in 2023 by Co-founder Noman Shahid and COO Talha Afzal. It is developing Crown of Khosrow, a real-time strategy and simulation hybrid set during the 7th-century Arab conquest of the Sassanid Persian Empire.

Players take on the role of a captain serving under commander Khalid Ibn al-Walid, building cities, training armies, and navigating diplomacy and warfare across a historically researched setting.

The studio worked directly with Middle Eastern academic historians and cultural experts to accurately depict the era's architecture, clothing, and music. Innovavera graduated from Exel by Merak's second accelerator cohort.
