Overview

Juju Games is a Nigerian indie game studio focused on combining African mythology, folklore and culture with modern game design and Afrofuturist storytelling. Founded in 2019, the studio describes itself as a team of veteran creatives and developers working across games and other forms of interactive entertainment.

The studio is the creator of Vodou, an ambitious Afrofuturist space opera that blends African folklore, science fiction and Western themes. Its flagship project follows Bazz Reeves, a masked Markai lawman travelling across a galaxy shaped by gods, bounty hunters and ancient powers.

Juju Games has also developed projects including Canjin, a superhero game inspired by African storytelling, and Mansa, an auto-chess-inspired game created for a game jam. Its earlier work also includes prototypes such as Vodou - Hunting Grounds and Vodou - A Space Odyssey.

The studio's wider goal is to use games and creative media to present African stories to global audiences, with its work spanning mythology, comics, Afrofuturism and interactive entertainment.
