Overview

Kevir Entertainment is an independent Iraqi game development and outsourcing studio based in Duhok, Iraqi Kurdistan. Founded in 2023, the studio focuses on game development and culturally inspired interactive experiences, alongside outsourcing services for 3D art, concept art, environment art, storyboarding, animation and VR projects.

The studio's flagship project is Operation Stutter, a first-person psychological horror game set during the Cold War. The narrative follows a protagonist caught in a surreal journey involving trauma, identity and a top-secret operation as the threat of nuclear conflict looms.

Kevir also develops projects focused on Kurdish and Mesopotamian heritage. Grandpa's Eyrie is a VR experience set inside a traditional Kurdish village home, using interactive historical objects to explore a disappearing way of life. The studio also worked on Mythical Beings of Mesopotamia, an illustrated book exploring creatures from Mesopotamian mythology and folklore.
