Overview

Kofiro is the indie game development identity of Ghanaian developer Kofi Austin, who has been making and publishing games independently since 2018. Based in Accra, Austin develops small-scale games and mobile apps, with a portfolio spanning puzzle, racing, simulation, arcade and educational titles.

His games include Only One, a logic-based puzzle game released in 2022, alongside Magicube, Wordscape, Super Glider, Two Player Racing - Speed Duel and Cappuccino Assassino Game. His Google Play catalogue currently includes more than 20 games and apps.

Kofi's development work has also been recognised within Ghana's game development community. In a 2023 interview with Leti Arts, he said he had created more than 20 games and 10 interactive apps, with between five and six million total installs at the time. He has largely remained a solo developer, preferring independent development as a way to keep learning, while remaining open to collaboration when needed.

He continues to write about Ghana's game development history, including a 2026 retrospective documenting more than 40 games released by Ghanaian developers between 2012 and 2020.
