Overview

NewGen Studio is a Tunisian independent game development studio founded in 2016. Based in Mégrine, the studio describes itself as an indie game developer focused on creating games for Steam.

The studio's portfolio includes West Hunt, a multiplayer social deduction game set in the Wild West, which helped establish NewGen internationally. The team has since expanded its portfolio with projects including North Hunt, ToyCrafter, Kitchen Wars and Gone Digging. NewGen has also announced Only Humans Onboard as an upcoming title.

Gone Digging is its latest project, combining cooperative mining and resource management with survival horror. Supporting one to four players, the game has players gathering valuable loot during the day before attempting to satisfy an entity at night. A single-player demo is already available, with an Early Access release now planned for Q2 2027.

NewGen has also increasingly experimented with different genres and formats. North Hunt expands on the studio's multiplayer experience, while ToyCrafter takes a psychological horror approach to crafting and Kitchen Wars brings its games to Nintendo Switch.

The studio currently lists a team of between two and 10 employees and has publicly discussed ambitions to expand into the GCC, particularly Saudi Arabia.
