Overview

Noohkema Game Studios is an independent game development studio based in Cameroon, with operations in Douala and Yaoundé. Founded in 2016, the studio creates games and interactive experiences inspired by African cultures, stories and mythology, while targeting international audiences. It operates within the wider Noohkema Interactive group, a transmedia company spanning video games, animation and other digital experiences.

The studio's current game portfolio includes Afro Warriors: Battle for Power, a 2.5D fighting game drawing on African mythology and featuring characters inspired by figures including Shango, Oya, Jengu and Efasa Moto. The Android release includes story mode, challenges, customisable powers and combos, and has surpassed 1,000 downloads on Google Play.

Noohkema is also developing Meenlah: Quest of the Stolen Spirits, a 3D action RPG set in an imagined ancient Africa where humans and masks once lived in harmony. The studio's website additionally lists an unannounced game in development.

Beyond games, Noohkema works across animation, 3D visualisation, co-production, strategic support and impact-focused content, positioning the company as part of a broader African creative ecosystem.
