Overview
Taka Studio is a Saudi-based studio originally from Istanbul, founded in 2025 and now operating as a graduate of the Exel by Merak accelerator. The studio aims to build a "HexaSports" franchise of turn-based sports strategy games, starting with HexaFootball and later expanding into HexaBasketball. The company takes its name from the "Taka," a traditional small wooden boat from Türkiye's Black Sea coast, using it as a metaphor for resilience and careful craftsmanship.
Its debut title, HexaFootball, a turn-based football strategy game played on a hexagonal pitch, is planned for release on PC via Steam in 2026.
