Tobiya Game Studio is an XR and interactive experience studio based in Addis Ababa, founded by Oliyad Tesfaye, a game and XR developer with over five years of experience across Unity, Unreal Engine, and AI-integrated development. The studio builds custom AR, VR, and mobile games with a focus on immersive and hardware-integrated experiences.

Founded in 2024, Tobiya is one of the youngest game studios in Ethiopia. The studio has won first place at an XR hackathon for an AI-based VR game and took first place at the Echoes game jam hosted by Africacomicade with CRADLE: History in Reality, a mixed-reality game where players act as an apprentice historian racing to save crumbling history by interacting with art and artifacts to solve quizzes and unlock clues.

The studio's broader catalogue includes EthioVerse VR, a virtual reality platform featuring Lucy as an AI tour guide, alongside Heart of Abyssinia: Legacy of Neo-Mbanza VR, a turn-based VR strategy title, and AI AZEYANKU, a VR experience letting players converse with AI-powered characters.
