Overview

Unsigned Double Collective is an independent South African game studio based in Cape Town and run by husband-and-wife team Romy Latter and Lasse Manson. The studio develops and self-publishes story-driven games, with Lasse focused on programming and Romy on art.

The collective began working on its first full-length project, Freja and the False Prophecy, in 2018. The 2D action-adventure platformer was set in a world inspired by Norse mythology and combined exploration, combat and hand-drawn visuals.

The studio later released Hadley's Run: A Starship Saga, a roguelite space shooter featuring an African-inspired sci-fi universe, and Flibbius McDoogle and the Mysterious Flying Machine, a short adventure puzzle game. Its current project is Fossil Quest, a cosy life simulation game about building and running a dinosaur museum.
