Overview

Xerise is an Algerian independent game studio based in Algiers, founded in 2015 by a group of young creatives with backgrounds in computer science and engineering. The studio combines game development and design with technical services for businesses, including advergames, mobile development, virtual reality and augmented reality.

The studio has developed a broad catalogue of games spanning puzzle, platformer, action, strategy and educational titles. Its projects include KYO: Dark Quest, OverGun, Gharsoon's Adventures, Tower Attack, Triflo, Dreaded Drafts, Tomb Jar, NeyNey Royal, BiVERSE and Back to the Universe.

Xerise has also built a notable record in Algerian and regional game development competitions. Its awards include the Algeria Game Development Festival, Algeria Web Awards, Algeria Game Challenge and multiple Zanga Game Jam awards. KYO: Dark Quest was also nominated for the International Mobile Gaming Awards in 2017.

Beyond its own projects, Xerise has supported Algeria's wider development ecosystem through game-development events, tutoring and community initiatives, including involvement with the Algerian Game Developers Association.
