Ash Games Studio releases demo for Nomad: The Legend of Zarqa
Saudi developer Ash Games Studio has released a playable demo for Nomad: The Legend of Zarqa, giving players their first hands-on look at its Arabian mythology-inspired action roguelite.
The demo launched on Steam on September 17th, allowing players to take control of Zarqa as she battles through a world corrupted by dark magic.
The game is based on the legend of Zarqa al-Yamama and combines fast-paced combat with a steerable bow that allows players to control arrows after they are fired.
A legend reimagined
Players can explore the first region of Nomad, fighting enemies, discovering upgrades and taking on bosses while experimenting with five different arrow types. The demo includes more than 14 boons and upgrades, as well as 20 enemy types.

Ash Games said the project was developed through eight playtests involving more than 900 players, with feedback used to refine combat, animation and the overall feel of the game.
The studio has previously described Nomad as an attempt to bring an underrepresented Arabian mythology to the global games audience, building on its earlier title Azooma Escape.
The full game is targeting a Q1 2027 release on PC. You can access the demo on Steam.
Ash Game Studios is listed in the IsaKaba Studios Directory.
