Esports Foundation appoints Khalid Olayan as manager special projects
He will contribute to the Foundation's vision for esports on a global stage
The Esports Foundation has appointed Khalid Olayan as manager special projects, following more than two years as general manager at Savvy Games Group.
Olayan joined Savvy Games Group in 2024 and remained with the company until August 2026, working as its general manager.
Before joining Savvy, he served as a marketing specialist at The National Commercial Bank (AlAhliNCB) for around a year, from January to December 2023.
Olayan also previously worked at Saudi telecommunications company stc as Gaming Manager, a role he held from February 2022 to January 2023.
New chapter
Olayan announced the move on LinkedIn, saying he was excited to join the Esports Foundation as manager special projects and is looking forward to being part of the team and contributing to the Foundation's vision for esports on a global stage.
The appointment brings Olayan into the Esports Foundation after experience spanning gaming, marketing, business management and the Saudi games industry.
His previous role at Savvy Games Group also gives him experience at one of the country's largest games-focused investment organisations, before moving into a role focused on special projects within the esports ecosystem.
