Halal Games Studio launches debut title False Exit on Steam

Halal Games Studio has launched False Exit on Steam, marking the indie developer's first commercial release.
The game is a first-person psychological horror title set inside a looping hospital environment. Each cycle through the loop introduces new changes to the space, altered layouts, and escalating threats, with a hostile entity that grows more active as the player progresses.
The core experience is built around exploration and observation rather than combat, with the environment itself serving as the primary source of tension.
Built on atmosphere
The game draws on psychological horror conventions, using environmental distortion, flickering lights and a sense of repetition to build pressure over time. There is no graphic violence, with the horror rooted in atmosphere and tension rather than gore.
"This has been an incredible journey filled with learning, challenges, and growth," said Halal Games founder and CEO Hassan Sherif in a post. "Seeing it live on Steam is a moment I'm truly proud of.”
Based in Egypt, Halal Games Studio is built around a values-driven approach, creating games that align with Islamic principles by avoiding explicit content, gambling mechanics and sexualised characters. False Exit is its first commercial Steam release.
Halal Games Studio is listed in the IsaKaba Studios Directory.
