Inuv8 Studios reveals sci-fi RPG Project Override
A post-apocalyptic sci-fi RPG built around a forgotten AI and a world left to ruin
Nigerian indie developer Inuv8 Studios has revealed Project Override, a narrative-driven sci-fi action RPG set in a world reclaimed by nature, haunted by machines and governed by the remnants of an AI that once tried to save humanity.
Set after the collapse of a dystopian Earth, Project Override follows the awakening of a forgotten preservation unit that finally comes online deep beneath the ruins of a fallen civilization, after 1,073 failed override attempts.
Marked as an archive build in pre-alpha, the teaser establishes the game's tone while hinting at a larger story built around mystery, discovery and the consequences of humanity's past choices.
Work in progress
The Lagos-based developer said significant groundwork has already been completed, including a custom gameplay ability framework, modular combat systems, advanced animation architecture, narrative tooling and the foundations of a wider interconnected world.
Features, visuals, gameplay systems, audio and content all remain under development.
Inuv8 Studios was founded in 2022 and is based in Ile-Ife, Osun. It is now open to discussions with publishers and potential partners as work continues, though no release window or platform details have been shared.
