MTN Gaming Conference 2026 brings African games industry together in Accra

Telecom provider MTN Ghana is bringing developers, publishers, investors and other games industry stakeholders together in Accra today for the MTN Gaming Conference 2026, as part of its wider DigiFest programme.

The one-day conference is taking place at Labadi Beach Hotel and is being held in strategic partnership with Ghanaian game developer Leti Arts. MTN says the event will focus on gaming, esports, mobile entertainment and the wider creative economy in Africa.

The conference brings together game developers and studios alongside publishers, investors, educators, students, esports stakeholders, brands, policymakers and ecosystem partners.

African games ecosystem

The speaker lineup includes MTN Ghana CEO Stephen Blewett, chief digital officer Ibrahim Misto, Leti Arts CEO Eyram Tawia, Sea Monster CEO Glenn Gillis, Masseka Game Studio founder Teddy Kossoko and Carry1st's Dominion Eromosele, alongside representatives from Mobex Africa, VGS Esports and the Esports Association Ghana.

The programme features keynotes, panels, workshops, showcases and networking activities focused on opportunities across Africa's gaming and esports ecosystem.

The MTN Gaming Conference forms part of the wider 2026 DigiFest programme, which includes additional conferences focused on AI, UI/UX and digital skills.
