Sony leaves GTA 6 off its own '2026 Great Games' PlayStation Store page
While the omission does not indicate another delay, it is a notable inconsistency that has largely gone unnoticed
Sony's PlayStation Store features a curated page titled "2026 Great Games," showcasing a selection of titles due to launch this year. Despite Grand Theft Auto 6's November 19th release date and Sony's ongoing marketing campaign around the game, Rockstar's blockbuster is nowhere to be found on the list.
The omission stands out because Sony has been actively promoting GTA 6 across the PlayStation Store since preorders opened following Rockstar's confirmation of the November release date. Yet while the game has dedicated store placement and promotional support, it has not been added to Sony's "2026 Great Games" collection.

Unsurprisingly, Sony does feature GTA 6 elsewhere. The game appears on the PlayStation Store's broader "Most Anticipated Games" page, which includes a wider range of upcoming releases. However, it remains absent from the more narrowly focused "2026 Great Games" page.
An omission Sony hasn't explained
Sony has not explained how games are selected for either PlayStation Store collection, making it impossible to say why GTA 6 has been left off the 2026 page.

The omission is particularly noticeable because the "2026 Great Games" page continues to receive updates with additional titles, indicating that it remains an actively curated storefront rather than an abandoned promotional page.
That means there are several possible explanations. The simplest is that GTA 6 has not yet been added as part of Sony's ongoing merchandising updates. Another is that Sony has chosen, for reasons it has not disclosed, to keep the game on its broader "Most Anticipated Games" page for now.
What the omission does not prove is that another delay is imminent. Rockstar and Take-Two continue to publicly target a November 19th, 2026 launch date, and neither company has suggested that release window is in doubt.
Still, the contrast is difficult to ignore. Sony is accepting preorders, promoting GTA 6 throughout the PlayStation Store, and marketing the title as one of the platform's biggest upcoming releases. At the same time, it has not included the game on its own curated page dedicated to 2026 releases.
Whether GTA 6 eventually joins the "2026 Great Games" collection may simply be a routine storefront update. Until Sony explains the criteria behind the page, however, its absence remains an unusual detail that has largely gone unnoticed.
