Overview
Eureka Studios is a game studio founded by Opeyemi Adeniran. The studio was created following the success of Danfo Run, a browser-based driving game inspired by everyday life in Lagos.
The studio aims to make world-class games rooted in Nigerian life and culture. Adeniran has described its approach as making games that “happen to be from here”, using local roads, jokes, radio and everyday experiences as part of its games.
Danfo Run is the studio's first game. The project began as a spare-time development project and went on to attract more than 140,000 players in its first week, with players from 145 countries. Eureka plans to expand Danfo Run with more Lagos locations, new ways to play and social features while developing more Nigerian stories through games.
