Exel by Merak launches Exel Academy with premium gaming classes in Riyadh
Participants who attend all five days of a class receive an Exel Academy Certificate of Completion
Exel by Merak has launched Exel Academy, a new learning platform opening with three Premium Gaming Classes aimed at different stages of a gaming career, running from October to November 2026.
Set to take place in Riyadh, each class runs five evenings, Sunday to Thursday from 7 to 10 PM, at KAFD, and is taught by operators who have run studios and shipped games at Activision Blizzard, Radical Entertainment, Sierra, Hasbro, and Disney.
No prior technical experience is required for any of the three classes. Participants who attend all five days of a class receive an Exel Academy Certificate of Completion.
Three classes, three career stages
Video Game Studio Leadership runs October 25 to 29 and targets current and future studio leaders, focused on leadership, communication, and operational skills for building teams and growing a sustainable studio.
AI for Game Development runs November 1 to 5 and is aimed at students and recent graduates, covering practical AI workflows for development, studio operations, and promotion.
Game Production and Project Management runs November 8 to 12 for developers ready to move into production leadership, covering planning, team alignment, risk and resource management, and guiding a game to launch.
Class fees are set at SAR 1,700 ($453) per class for regular registration. An early bird rate of SAR 1,350 ($360) per class is available until September 24th, 2026. Interested individuals can apply here.
