Maliyo Games appoints Omonigho Aito-Imonah as creator collection specialist

Nigerian game developer Maliyo Games has appointed Omonigho Aito-Imonah as a creator collection specialist.
Aito-Imonah is a creative technologist and founder of Afrofashion AI, a project focused on African fashion, artificial intelligence and digital innovation. Her work also spans fashion illustration, cultural storytelling and tools for creative communities.
Before joining Maliyo, she worked across fashion and creative ventures, including as creative lead at NACK Apparel. She has also been involved in initiatives focused on women in technology, Web3 and the use of AI in African creative industries.
Supporting creators
The appointment comes as Maliyo continues to expand its work in talent and creator development. The company recently rebranded its GameUp Africa initiative as GameUp Academy, moving towards a self-paced learning model designed to reach aspiring game creators beyond Africa while continuing to support local talent.
GameUp Academy offers learning pathways for people interested in game development and related creative and technical fields. Maliyo has also developed creator-focused programmes to help people build skills, produce gaming content and connect with the games industry.
Aito-Imonah's background in creative technology and cultural storytelling brings experience from outside traditional game development to her new role.
