Inuv8 Studios becomes ID@Xbox Partner for Project Override
Another major step forward for the studio
Nigeria-based Inuv8 Studios has become an official ID@Xbox Partner, opening a new route for its sci-fi action-adventure Project Override to reach Xbox players alongside its planned PC and PlayStation releases.
Game Developer and Gameplay Programmer Daniel Shontan shared the news on LinkedIn, saying the partnership marks another step towards bringing the studio's original games to a wider audience after recently becoming a PlayStation Partner.
"We're officially an ID@Xbox Partner!" wrote Shontan. "This means Inuv8 Studios becomes ID@Xbox Partner for Project Override alongside PC (Steam) & PlayStation."
The partnership comes as Inuv8 continues development of Project Override, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi action-adventure set in a world ruled by an AI that believes humanity is beyond saving.
Xbox expansion
The game is planned for PC via Steam, PlayStation and now Xbox. Its Steam listing describes it as a third-person action-adventure combining melee combat, exploration and machine hunting, with players exploring a ruined world controlled by an AI system.
Joining ID@Xbox gives Inuv8 access to the tools, resources and support required to develop and publish games for Xbox consoles and Xbox on PC. Microsoft also says the programme provides opportunities around publishing, technical support, promotion and discovery.
For Inuv8, the partnership adds another major platform to the studio's plans for Project Override as it continues working towards a wider release. The studio said the milestone is part of its broader goal of building original games for players around the world.
