Khalid Alghamdi promoted to QA tester at Mirai
Alghamdi takes on greater responsibility across quality assurance at the studio
Khalid Alghamdi has been promoted from Junior QA tester to QA tester at Riyadh-based studio Mirai, a Scopely company.
In his new role, Alghamdi takes on greater responsibility across quality assurance at the studio, which was established to grow local games talent in the MENA region.
He has been with Mirai since 2025 and holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from King Abdulaziz University, where a game development academic project first sparked his interest in the industry.
A new chapter
“This journey has been a great experience filled with challenges, growth, and valuable lessons,” said Alghamdi in a post. “I'm grateful for the support from my team and everyone who has helped me improve along the way.
“With this new step comes greater responsibility, and I'm committed to delivering quality, improving processes, and strengthening my skills every day.”
Founded in 2024, Mirai is a Riyadh-based studio opened by Savvy Games Group-owned Scopely led by industry veteran Charity Joy. Its name means "future" in Japanese.
The studio was established to grow local games talent in the MENA region. Scopely, best known for Monopoly Go, was acquired by Savvy for $4.9 billion in 2023.
