Lagos Life crosses 7 million players in 10 days

Lagos Life has passed 7 million players just 10 days after launch, as the Nigerian browser game continues to attract hundreds of thousands of daily players.

Developer Shalom Rayhamen announced the milestone, saying the game had reached over 7m total players. The game also recorded more than 1.4m active players the previous day and over 64,000 players online at the time the update was shared.

Lagos Life has now recorded more than 36.5m visits since launching on October 1st, according to its live statistics dashboard.

More players coming

The latest milestone follows the game passing 5m players within nine days of launch. Its parent company, Vatar, also announced a $500,000 angel funding round during that period.

Lagos Life is a free browser-based social life simulation game where players can find jobs, earn virtual money, rent homes and interact with others in a virtual Nigerian city. The game has also expanded beyond Lagos, with Abuja and Port Harcourt now available to explore.

Rayhamen thanked players for helping the game grow and set a new target of 10m players.
