Lagos Life has passed 1.5 million total players as the Nigerian browser game continues to attract a huge audience just days after launch.

The latest figures shared by the game's developer show more than 1.5m players in total, with 122,174 people online at the same time. The game has also recorded over 5.8m visits today and more than 14m visits in total.

The game's first milestone came after Lagos Life passed one million players, reaching that mark within days of launching on October 1st, with its creator Shalom Rayhamen previously reporting more than 109,000 players online at the same time.

Still growing

Lagos Life is a free browser-based social simulation game where players create characters, find jobs, manage money, socialise and explore a virtual version of Lagos with other players.

The game has also become one of the biggest examples yet of a Nigerian-made browser game attracting a large audience without requiring a download.

The latest figures show that the game's early viral run is still going, with both its player count and visits continuing to climb. The creator has since added a range of new updates and features including allowing players to attend UNILAG and enrol as students alongside friends.
