Nigerian indie title Go North launches on Steam and Xbox

Nigerian solo developer Tade Ajiboye has officially launched Go North on Steam, bringing his atmospheric maze adventure game to players following its earlier demo release.
Developed under the one-man studio gazuntype, the game follows protagonist Dara as they navigate handcrafted labyrinths inspired by themes of patience and exploration.
Players must search for the exit due north while uncovering the mysteries surrounding the mythical Maze God.
Set across environments including twisted forests, bookshelf corridors and floating sky islands, Go North combines puzzle-solving with exploration using ancient relics that blend magic and technology as navigation tools.
Calm exploration
Ajiboye said the game was designed around stillness rather than urgency, with players encouraged to progress at their own pace without penalties.
"There is a certain sense of serenity that comes from a good walk," Ajiboye said. "With so much uncertainty in the real world, I wanted the calmness Go North exudes to be embedded into the core gameplay loop."
He added that making the search for the northern exit Dara's only objective was intended to give players the freedom to explore, take in their surroundings and enjoy moments of quiet throughout the adventure.
A Nintendo Switch version is currently in development, while the game is also available for Xbox Series X|S.
