Phys attracts 1,000+ users in under 30 days with active play platform
Its platform uses augmented reality games that require children to move their bodies
Saudi game studio Phys has attracted more than 1,000 users in under 30 days, while generating more than 5 million organic views without spending on advertising.
The studio took to LinkedIn to share the figures and outlined its approach to children's entertainment, placing Phys as an active alternative to traditional screen-based play.
Its platform uses augmented reality games that require children to move their bodies, with activities built around jumping, dancing and other physical interactions.
Replayability value
Phys said its games are designed to give children a reason to return and improve their scores rather than simply consume the experience once. The platform currently offers games including Food Ninja, Drift Driver, Toy Catcher, Bubble Pop and Camel Run, among others.
The Saudi-born company launched Phys in 2024 after developing the concept through the Misk Fellowship. Its current platform is available on iOS and Android and targets children aged two to 12, with Arabic and English support.
Phys also offers its active play system to venues including shopping malls, hotels, healthcare facilities and events, where it says the experiences are designed to encourage repeat visits and longer engagement.
