Qwacks has partnered with Holodot Studio to provide the Saudi multiplayer-focused company with its game development tools, systems and live operations services to support its next title.

The partnership lands ahead of an upcoming game reveal from Holodot, which the studio has teased without further detail. Holodot is the team behind Shotball, the 3v3 class-based shooter sport game that fuses football with shotgun combat.

The title launched on Steam in February 2025 via publisher Naphora Games Group, reaching 32,000 beta installs, with a broader release planned for Q2 2027 inside the Esports World Cup ecosystem.

Qwacks is working to improve its platform and integrations, scale its technology stack, and reach more studios across Saudi Arabia and the wider region following its $480,000 pre-seed raise in December 2025. The startup has said it aims to amp up operational capacity amid growing demand for locally developed gaming technology.

Continuous growth

Both companies emerged from Merak Capital's orbit. Holodot graduated from Cohort 2 of the Exel by Merak accelerator earlier in 2026, where it showcased Shotball and outlined its Esports World Cup roadmap, while Merak Capital led Qwacks' pre-seed round.

Qwacks operates a unified technology layer for game development spanning three core products: Flock, a backend service for online and multiplayer games; Protokite, an AI-supported playtesting system; and DataDuck, a market intelligence tool. Holodot's competitive multiplayer focus makes it a strong fit for Flock's backend capabilities in particular.

Holodot Studio is listed in the IsaKaba Studios Directory.
