Roblox hires Khaled Zakaria as developer relations manager for MENA and Türkiye

Roblox has appointed Khaled Zakaria as developer relations manager for MENA and Türkiye, with Zakaria joining the platform’s new regional team.

Zakaria took to LinkedIn to share the news, stating he will serve as a first point of contact for developers and studios across the region. He will work with developers, publishers and industry partners to help them discover opportunities on Roblox, overcome challenges and connect with relevant people.

The appointment comes after six years in game development, during which Zakaria said he has built console and indie games while also teaching, supporting developer communities and connecting people across the industry.

Building connections

Before joining Roblox in September 2026, Zakaria spent more than four years at Limbic Entertainment in Cairo, progressing from junior gameplay programmer to gameplay programmer. His work included Park Beyond and Corsair Cove, where he worked on gameplay systems and programming.

He also worked as a game developer at Egypt’s Information Technology Institute, where he led a six-member team developing Humanity Last Resort. Between 2023 and 2025, he worked as an Unreal Engine Instructor, teaching C++ programming, Blueprint scripting and Unreal Engine development.

"I’ll be working closely with developers, studios, publishers, and industry partners helping them discover opportunities on Roblox, overcome challenges, connect with the right people, and build experiences for a global audience," said Zakaria.

"I believe our region has a real role to play in what comes next, and I want to help more of the talent here build, grow, and reach the global market on their own terms."
