Gone Digging is an upcoming horror game from Tunisia-based NewGen
Tunisian indie studio NewGen has released a new trailer for Gone Digging, a co-op digging thriller that combines resource gathering and simulation mechanics with a horror-driven survival loop.
Currently in development for PC, Gone Digging supports one to four players online, with players tasked with mining valuable resources from unstable caves before nightfall.
During the day, players can explore different cave layers, discover loot and sell their finds to a roaming merchant. Earnings can then be used to upgrade tools, allowing players to dig faster and access deeper areas with greater risks and rewards.
Dig by day, survive by night
The game's central mechanic shifts when night arrives, as players must offer enough loot to satisfy an evil entity. Choosing what to sacrifice becomes a risk-reward decision, with rare loot providing greater safety while greed or poor planning can trigger increasingly dangerous consequences.

If the entity is not satisfied, the caves become more hostile and monsters emerge, forcing players to run, hide or fight their way through the night.
NewGen has also made a single-player demo available, giving players an opportunity to try the core digging and survival mechanics ahead of the full release.
Gone Digging joins NewGen's growing portfolio of projects as the Tunisian studio explores cooperative gameplay alongside horror and simulation mechanics.
Gone Digging is available to wishlist on Steam.
