Chickmania launches Fame Game with regional YouTube star Ahmad Aburob

Amman-based mobile studio Chickmania Entertainment has launched Fame Game, a creator-led mobile title built in collaboration with Jordanian YouTuber Ahmad Aburob.

The developer said the game surpassed 50,000 installs on its first day and reached 100,000 daily active users within its first week. The title, available on iOS and Android, climbed to the number-one spot on the iOS charts following its launch.

Unlike typical influencer tie-ins where a creator is brought in after development to promote a finished product, Chickmania said Aburob was involved from the earliest stages, working alongside the development team to shape the game's concept and direction.

A different kind of creator deal

Aburob is one of the Arab world's most prominent digital creators, with over 10 million subscribers on YouTube and nearly 2 billion total views. He was named Middle Eastern Social Media Star at the 2022 People's Choice Awards.

His involvement in Fame Game from the ground up is part of a growing shift in how MENA studios are thinking about creator partnerships, building with creators rather than simply marketing through them.

Founded in 2017, Chickmania is a mid-core multiplayer studio with a portfolio that includes Jackaro, one of the region's longest-running multiplayer titles. Fame Game marks the studio's most high-profile launch to date.

Chickmania Entertainment is listed in the IsaKaba Studios Directory.
