Floaty refreshes website as Hero Squad takes centre stage

Saudi mobile game developer Floaty has refreshed its website, putting its upcoming Hero Squad title at the centre of its current public-facing lineup.

The Riyadh-based studio's updated site describes Hero Squad as a mobile game where players collect and upgrade cyber heroes before using them to defend Neo City from increasingly powerful robots.

A sharper focus

The update follows comments from Floaty founder Abdullah Salah to PocketGamer.biz in an interview last month, when he said Hero Squad had become the studio's biggest focus for the remainder of 2026.

"We're putting all our effort into making it the best game it can be," Salah said at the time, adding that Floaty's longer-term ambition was to continue growing the studio and create more mobile games for a global audience.

Notably, Hero Squad is now the only game prominently surfaced through the refreshed site's Games section. Floaty had previously announced two mobile projects, with pirate strategy game Pirasea alongside Hero Squad.

Floaty raised $1 million from Merak Capital in July, its first investment round, with Salah saying the funding would be used to accelerate its projects, strengthen the team and build the studio for the long term.
