GameDev KSA launches National Game Jam for Saudi developers
The winning team will receive a prize of SAR 3,000 ($800)
GameDev KSA has launched its National Game Jam, inviting aspiring and experienced game developers in Saudi Arabia to work together and create a game as part of the country's 96th National Day celebrations.
The event will run from September 14th to 20th, with participants encouraged to register even if they have no previous game development experience or do not already have a team.
According to GameDev KSA, participants will be matched with experienced developers, allowing newcomers to learn while working on a complete game project.
Building teams
The jam is designed to bring together people with different levels of experience and help participants build games within the event's timeframe. Teams will work on their projects before presenting their finished games for evaluation.
The winning team will receive a prize of SAR 3,000 ($800), while the event also offers participants the opportunity to gain practical experience and connect with other members of Saudi Arabia's growing game development community.
Registration for the National Game Jam closes on September 13th, with the event beginning the following day. Interested individuals can register here.
