Games for Change Africa partners with Lagos Games Week to launch G4C Next Gen Summit
The gamified career fair will introduce 200+ high-school students to entry points across the games industry
Games for Change Africa has partnered with Lagos Games Week and Kucheza Gaming to deliver a G4C Next Gen Summit on the African continent.
Scheduled for Friday, June 19th at the National Theatre in Lagos, the Summit is positioned as a gamified career fair for high-school students.
It is designed to broaden the perspectives of more than 200 young people interested in playing games or pursuing a career in the industry.
Beyond esports and development
Organisers said the Summit aims to show students that the games industry extends well beyond esports and game development, with entry points across education, project management, content creation, storytelling, legal roles and more.
A second goal centres on introducing students to the concept of games for good, including impact games and the use of industry platforms to advocate for young people and social causes.
The Next Gen Summit joins a wider programme at Lagos Games Week 2026, which includes the Pitch Stage, Indie Games Showcase, and the recently launched Pan-African Game Jam delivered with Global Game Jam.
Lagos Games Week 2026 is set to take place from June 18th to 19th at the National Theatre in Nigeria.
