Halal Games Studio founder Hassan Sherif joins Everness Games as game developer

Egypt-based Halal Games founder and CEO Hassan Sherif has joined Saudi Arabia's Everness Games as a game developer, expanding his career while continuing to lead the independent studio he launched earlier this year.

Sherif took to LinkedIn to share the news, saying he was looking forward to contributing to the team and creating experiences for players worldwide. He remains founder and CEO of Halal Games alongside his new role at Everness Games.

Earlier this year, Sherif founded Halal Games to develop original PC games for regional and global audiences, with plans to expand to mobile platforms as the studio grows. The company is focused on creating games that avoid gambling mechanics, musical instruments, and explicit content while maintaining strong entertainment value.

Dual roles

Halal Games has already released its first title, Apocalypse, and is currently developing False Exit, a horror game centred on immersive environmental storytelling, psychological fear, and subtle gameplay mechanics.

At the studio's launch, Sherif said the company was created to demonstrate that ethical game design and engaging gameplay can coexist while helping establish a new wave of values-driven game development.

His appointment at Everness Games comes as he continues to oversee Halal Games' long-term growth and development from Egypt.

Halal Games is listed in the IsaKaba Studios Directory and continues to operate under Sherif's leadership
