Lagos Run attracts 7,000 drivers in two days
The developer has continued updating the game based on player feedback
Independent developer Eureka has revealed that more than 7,000 people have played Lagos Run just two days after the browser-based game launched.
Lagos Run puts players behind the wheel of a Lagos danfo, to pick up passengers, navigate traffic and deal with the city's familiar road hazards. The game can be played directly in a browser without a download.
Eureka took to X (formerly Twitter) to share that the game was built in their spare time before players quickly turned it into a virtual Lagos traffic jam.
From danfos to Agberos
The developer has continued updating the game based on player feedback, with a recent update adding more guidance at bus stops, including countdowns and visual indicators for new drivers.
The leaderboard has also been cleaned up to remove fake scores, while further updates are planned to add Agbero, LASTMA, new buses and a special Independence Day paint job. You can play the game here.
Lagos Run is also part of a wider history of Nigerian games using Lagos transport as their setting. Earlier titles such as Danfo Saga and Danfo Hustle from Goondu Interactive have similarly used the city's danfos and traffic as the foundation for their gameplay.
