Video Games Expo Nigeria 2026 returns in November for its third edition
Gameverse Africa organises the event
Video Games Expo Nigeria will return to Port Harcourt on November 21, bringing together developers, studios, gamers, creators and other members of Nigeria's games ecosystem for its third edition.
The event, organised by Gameverse Africa, will take place in Port Harcourt and is built around the theme of connecting people, games, studios and communities.
The organisers describe the expo as a platform for discovering talent, building relationships and supporting Nigeria's developing games industry.
The previous edition took place in 2025 as a four-day event, featuring game development sessions, tournaments, a games showcase, a women in games initiative, networking and a games mixer. The event also showcased Nigerian-made games and developers.
Games ecosystem
The 2026 edition is expected to bring together people across different parts of the games ecosystem, with the organisers describing this year's focus as “People. Games. Studios. Community.”
Gameverse Africa has also positioned the expo as part of its wider efforts to strengthen the games development community in South-South Nigeria and create more visibility for local developers and studios.
